    They have a wire in them, some of which were rusty. The wire can be pulled out and a thin tooth pick can be inserted. I planned to use them the following day. When I came to use them I noticed they had been in contact with a wet surface overnight and some of the gold paint had come off. I hate to think what could have happened if I had attached them to my cake.
