Testmarket Score
Enter your numbers and get a 0–100 grade for your Amazon business — with a transparent breakdown across five sub-scores and clear, linked next steps. It runs entirely in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
Net profit margin after product cost and Amazon fees.
Your margin is thin once costs and fees come out. Sharper titles, images and listing conversion make each sale earn more.
Decent margin with room to grow — small listing and pricing gains compound.
Strong margin — your unit economics are healthy.
Amazon's take rate — fees as a share of your selling price. Lower is better.
Amazon is taking a large share of each sale. Reviewing your fulfilment setup and dimensions can cut the fee load.
Fees are reasonable; tighter packaging or tier choices could trim them further.
Lean fees — Amazon's cut is well controlled.
Your ACOS versus break-even ACOS. Below break-even means ads make money.
Your ads are at or above break-even, so spend is eating into margin. Tighter targeting and bid control would help.
Ads are profitable but not efficient yet — there's headroom to lower ACOS.
Efficient ads — comfortably below break-even.
How far your price sits above the break-even price.
Very little room above break-even — a cost or fee bump could push you into the red. Knowing where you sit versus competitors helps.
Some pricing headroom; keep an eye on competitor moves so you can hold price.
Healthy pricing headroom above break-even.
Your recent sales trend. Optional — add a % to include it.
Sales are trending down. Worth checking demand, ranking and keyword visibility before it compounds.
Sales are flat to slightly up — steady, with room to accelerate.
Sales are growing nicely.
How this is scored: each sub-score is 0–100 from your inputs, then weighted into the total. The weights and thresholds are a tunable heuristic for orientation — not an official Amazon metric or an industry standard. Treat the score as a directional guide, not a verdict.

What the Testmarket Score measures
The Testmarket Score turns the numbers you already track into a single 0–100 grade for your Amazon business, so you can see at a glance where you stand and what to fix first. It is a self-assessment: you enter your figures, everything is calculated in your browser, and nothing is stored or sent to a server.
The score combines five sub-metrics — profitability (net margin), fee efficiency (Amazon's take rate), ad efficiency (ACOS versus break-even), pricing headroom and sales velocity. Each is scored independently and shown with its own bar, so the total is never a black box. Behind the scenes it reuses the same engines as our FBA, fee, ACOS and margin calculators, so the inputs are consistent with those tools.
The weights and thresholds are a transparent heuristic meant for orientation, not an official Amazon benchmark — they can be tuned. Use the score to spot your weakest area, follow the guidance to dig in, make a change, and re-grade. Optional fields like advertising and sales trend simply drop out of the calculation when left blank, so a partial picture still gives a fair score.
