Finally, I found deck boots available in 1/2-sizes. I usually need a 9 1/2 (i.e., for Adidas) and my feet are on the wider side. Deck and rubber boots are most of the time not offered in half-sizes, so I tried lots of different vendors with either size 9 (too narrow) or 10 (too large).

But then I came across these Showave Men's Deck Boots offering the 9.5 size, and they fit like a comfortable glove. Quality-wise, they seem well made, and the material looks and feels good. They don't have any awkward smell, like some of the other products I tested.

You might need to get used to the slightly textured insoles, probably also to improve breathability, which seems very good for a 100% waterproof "rubber boot". I liked the insoles and didn't recognize the texture after some 10-minute test walk. Overall, I'm very happy and will put them now out for a real-life test on the boat.
